Hello lovely MESA people! My name is Kimberly Njoo and I am honored to be the Chair of our amazing association this year. I am currently in my second year of the Media Studies bachelor. As the Chair of the board I do various things. I make sure that I am involved with everything the board is doing and that it runs smoothly. I am up to date with all of MESA’s activities and can definitely be found at events! Throughout the year, I make the agendas for board meetings and GMMs and also lead these meetings. I give presentations about MESA during introduction days, and during constitution drinks and other events I will give speeches! Besides that I also attend various external meetings and represent MESA, such as meetings within the Faculty or with other associations. I will do my best with my board to give MESA another amazing year filled with fun, friendship, and great memories!
Ana Enescu (Secretary)
Hey MESA people! I’m Ana Enescu and I am so honoured to be the Secretary and Associational External of our lovely association! I’ve been in Groningen since 2022 and one of the first things I did when getting here is sign up for MESA, because I wanted to be part of the fun! I’ve been pretty active in the Association during these years and now, during the third year of my studies, I decided to try a Board year as well! As Secretary, I am the one in charge of taking the Minutes during all of our meetings, I’m in charge of all of the memberships, cancellations, Mates and Alumnis sign-ups and I'm the one handling our emails! I try to keep everything as clean and organized as possible! I am also the Commissioner of External Affairs for Associations, which means I handle any communication, partnerships and collaborations with other Associations, for events such as Galas, workshops or parties!
I hope to see you all during our events and I look forward to the year ahead of us!
Britt Oldenburg (Treasurer)
Hey there!
I am Britt Oldenburg and I am very excited to be the new Treasurer of MESA this year! With my other studies of International Business I bring in my expertise of finance and acquisition. I am the contact person for financial matters within MESA. At the beginning of the academic year, I write the financial policy and present this for the members during the first GMM. Throughout the year, I make sure all the declarations are paid and I am in charge of the incoming invoices.
I am also the Commissioner of External Affairs for professional matters (sponsors, partners). During a previous internship I gained experience in the field of professional relations.
I aim to not only create great connections with external partners, but also to strengthen connections with all our amazing members this year!
Christiaan Lange (Commissioner of Internal Affairs)
Dear members and friends of MESA,
My name is Christiaan Lange, and it’s an honor to be the 9th Commissioner of Internal Affairs for our association. I started studying Media Studies in 2020, and since then I’ve been active in several committees within MESA. Because of my experiences, I have met a lot of great people and met good friends. As the Commissioner of Internal Affairs, I will work hard to bring our members and committees closer together in the hope to give people the opportunity to meet new friends, experience new things, and will come to appreciate MESA as I have done in my wonderful years in this association.
In MESA’s day-to-day, I take care of the communication between committees and the board, I also attend our committees meetings and guide them whenever it is needed.
