Hello lovely MESA people! My name is Diana-Elena Spulber and I am honored to be the Chair of our amazing association this year. I am currently in my second year of the Media Studies bachelor. As the Chair of the board I do various things. I make sure that I am involved with everything the board is doing and that it runs smoothly. I am up to date with all of MESA’s activities and can definitely be found at events! Throughout the year, I make the agendas for board meetings and GMMs and also lead these meetings. I give presentations about MESA during introduction days, and during constitution drinks and other events I will give speeches! Besides that I also attend various external meetings and represent MESA, such as meetings within the Faculty or with other associations. I will do my best with my board to give MESA another amazing year filled with fun, friendship, and great memories!
Ougbad Cige (Secretary)
Hey MESA people! I’m Ougbad Cige and I am so honoured to be the Secretary of our lovely association! I’ve been pretty active in the Association last year and now, during the second year of my studies, I decided to try a Board year as well! As Secretary, I am the one in charge of taking the Minutes during all of our meetings, I’m in charge of all of the memberships, cancellations, Mates and Alumnis sign-ups and I am the one handling our emails! I try to keep everything as clean and organized as possible, so we can all have a smooth road ahead of us! I hope to see you all during our events and I look forward to the year ahead of us!
Manuel Link (Treasurer)
Hey there!
I am Manuel Link and I am very excited to be the new Treasurer of MESA this year! With my other studies of International Business I bring in my expertise of finance and acquisition. I am the contact person for financial matters within MESA. At the beginning of the academic year, I write the financial policy and present this for the members during the first GMM. Throughout the year, I make sure all the declarations are paid and I am in charge of the incoming invoices.
Anila Singh (Commissioner of Internal Affairs)
Dear members and friends of MESA,
My name is Anila Singh, and it’s an honor to be the 10th Commissioner of Internal Affairs for our association. I started studying Media Studies in 2023, and since then I’ve been active in several committees within MESA. Because of my experiences, I have met a lot of great people and met good friends. As the Commissioner of Internal Affairs, I will work hard to bring our members and committees closer together in the hope to give people the opportunity to meet new friends, experience new things, and will come to appreciate MESA as I have done in my wonderful years in this association.
In MESA’s day-to-day, I take care of the communication between committees and the board, I also attend our committees meetings and guide them whenever it is needed.
Yasmin Horasan (Commissioner of External Affairs)
Hello, I’m Yasmin, and I’m really excited to be your Commissioner of External Affairs this year! As External, I’ll be the main contact person for companies and other associations, working on collaborations, partnerships, and sponsorships, as well as helping organize some of our bigger events like Career Week and the Winter Gala.
Through my time in the Media Committee and previous jobs, I’ve gained experience in communication, teamwork, and professional relations. I aim to not only create strong connections with our external partners, but also to strengthen the bond within our amazing MESA community.
I’m looking forward to an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to see you all at our events!
